The Nero d'Avola Rosso of Contrada Lenza Lunga di Marabino was obtained from 100% Nero d'Avola grapes grown in the Buonivini district in the territory of Noto (SR). The vineyard of origin extends for 1.5 hectares at an average altitude of 30 metres above sea level and insists on calcareous-clayey soils of the alluvial matrix known locally as “terra niura”. Alcoholic fermentation, which transformed sugars into alcohol, took place thanks to the use of indigenous yeasts. Before release, Contrada Coniglio 2018 Nero d'Avola Rosso rested in stainless steel tanks for 6 months. The Marabino company embraces the biodynamic style that rejects the use of herbicides and synthetic chemistry.

NERO D'AVOLA RED OF CONTRADA RABBIT MARABINO: TASTING

The Nero d'Avola Terre Siciliane IGT Rosso di Contrada Coniglio 2018 by Marabino reveals itself to the eye with an intense ruby red colour. On the nose, it releases aromas of black mulberry and small red fruits that intertwine with delicate herbaceous and floral hints. The sip is fresh, dynamic, with a pleasantly fruity taste and supported by a lively but well integrated tannic texture. At the table, it goes well with semi-aged cheeses as well as with vegetarian dishes or succulent first and second courses based on red meats and game.
