The Moscato Rosa Praepositus di Abbazia di Novacella is born from 100% Moscato Rosa grapes grown in the area of Cornaiano, a hamlet of Appiano on the Wine Road (BZ). The original vineyards are located on permeable morainic deposits with a porphyric base, at an altitude of about 350 meters above sea level. In the winemaking process, the alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel at a controlled temperature of 17°C, with a 5-day maceration of the must on the skins. The aging occurred for 9 months in stainless steel plus an additional 14 months in the bottle.

The Moscato Rosa Praepositus Abbazia di Novacella presents itself with a seductive bright garnet red color. On the nose, it reveals aromas of Saturnine peach and berries that combine with floral notes of rose and delicate hints of bitter chocolate. Completing the olfactory profile are hints of coffee powder and dried figs. The taste is soft and elegant, enhanced by a clear balance between sweetness and freshness, with a long fruity and spicy finish. It pairs well with spoon desserts or fruit-based or chocolate cakes.
