Aroma fruttato
Corpo leggeroThe Moscato d'Asti DOCG La Gatta di Vite Colte was obtained from 100% Moscato Bianco grapes grown on soils of calcareous-marl origin. After the harvest, the grapes were subjected to soft pressing in order to obtain the flower must (i.e. the fruit of the first pressing which is naturally purer and clearer) which is stored at a low temperature until the moment of the second fermentation. This last phase, also known as "second fermentation" takes place in a stainless steel tank and preceded bottling. The DOCG Moscato d'Asti includes 52 municipalities in Piedmont, distributed between the provinces of Alessandria, Asti and Cuneo with a total vineyard area of approximately 9,700 hectares.
The Moscato d'Asti DOCG La Gatta di Vite Colte seduces the eye with its straw yellow colour with golden reflections. On the nose, it releases enveloping aromas of peach and white pulp fruit intertwined with hints of white flowers and delicate notes of sage and aromatic herbs. The sip is soft and pleasant, supported by a gentle sour shoulder, well integrated with the sweetness. At the table, it goes well with festive desserts as well as blue cheeses and dry pastries. Also try with it custard-based desserts and paired with fois gras.
