The Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Malandrino di Cataldi Madonna is a 100% Montepulciano-based red wine. The vineyards, grown on pergola and espalier, are located in the territory of the Macerone and Collelungo pass (AQ), at an altitude of 380 meters above sea level. The harvest was carried out with a yield of 80 quintals per hectare. During the vinification, alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel with maceration of the must on the skins for 18-21 days. The aging was for 12 months in stainless steel and concrete.

MONTEPULCIANO D'ABRUZZO MALANDRINO CATALDI MADONNA: TASTING NOTES

The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Malandrino by Cataldi Madonna reveals an intense ruby red color. On the nose, it offers aromas of sour cherry and ripe red fruits that mingle with hints of floral notes of rose and violet, and dark liquorice and spicy notes. The palate is full and well-structured, supported by smooth tannins and a pleasant, persistent fruity and spicy finish. It pairs well with aged cheeses as well as flavorful meat dishes, especially those based on tomato and red meats.
