Corpo medioThe Montepulciano di Cirelli is obtained from 100% Montepulciano di CirelliMontepulciano grapes grown in the territory of Atri (TE). After the harvest, the grapes underwent destemming and were started for vinification. Alcoholic fermentation, which converted sugars into alcohol, took place in stainless steel, thanks to the action of indigenous yeasts, and included a maceration phase of the must in contact with the skins lasting 10-15 days. After malolactic fermentation, which softened its aromatic and structural edges, the Cirelli's Montepulciano di CirelliMontepulciano d'Abruzzo matured for 6 months in stainless steel on fine lees, the residues of fermentation that stabilized the wine, enriching it with aromas and substances.
Cirelli's Montepulciano di CirelliMontepulciano d'Abruzzo presents itself in the glass with a ruby red color and garnet reflections. On the nose, it releases scents of cherry and small red fruits intertwined with fragrant floral notes of violet and subtle hints of black pepper and dark spices. The palate is full and pleasant, supported by a lively yet well-integrated tannic texture and a vibrant fresh-savory trail that lingers on the finish. It pairs well with cured meats, semi-aged and aged cheeses, as well as first and second courses of red meats and game.
