The Masseto Toscana Rosso di Masseto is a highly esteemed label made from 100% Merlot, a true reference for wine enthusiasts and connoisseurs. The eponymous vineyard from which it originates is divided into three parts - Central, Junior, and Alto - in the territory of Bolgheri (LI). Here, the soils are characterized by loamy clays and blue clays, situated at an altitude of around 120 meters above sea level. In the cellar, the grapes, carefully selected, underwent soft pressing. Alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 25-28°C, with maceration of the must on the skins for 15-20 days. The blending of the three parcels occurred after 12 months of aging in barriques. Subsequently, the wine matured for another 12 months in the same containers.

The Masseto Toscana Rosso di Masseto stands out in the glass with an intense ruby red color and bright reflections. On the nose, it releases aromas of ripe berries, violet petals, and hints of dark spices. Integrated into the olfactory profile are notes of Mediterranean scrubland, tobacco, and cocoa powder. The tasting experience is intense, structured, and pleasantly fresh, supported by a mature and silky tannic texture. It finishes with a long and captivating balsamic and spicy finale. This wine pairs well with aged cheeses and succulent dishes of red meats or game from the land.
