Corpo medioBarbera d'Aba di Borgogno is born in the vineyards of Madonna di Como, in the area of Alba. The company currently operates on 38 hectares of land, 8 of which are woodland and the rest vineyards; in addition to plots in 5 Barolo crus, Borgogno owns 11 hectares in one of the best positions in Langa: Bricco Bombè, located in a small hamlet called Madonna di Como. Bricco Bombè is halfway between the classic "Bricco" (the top of the hill with perfect sun exposure) and the "Sorì" (the southern part of the hill just above the Bricco, thus exposed to morning sun). The soil composition, microclimate, and particular exposure make these vineyards perfect for the production of Barbera d'Alba. The fermentation is spontaneous in cement tanks and lasts about 10 days, not exceeding a temperature of 28°C; the aging process takes place first for 4 months in barrels, then a period in steel, and finally in the bottle for 3 months.
PLACEHOLDER_WINE has an intense ruby color. On the nose, it smells of red fruits, aromatic herbs, spices, and woodland balsams; on the palate, it is fragrant, pleasantly fresh, and very drinkable. Excellent with cold cuts and a perfect pairing for a meat and vegetable pie.
