The Lagrein di Abbazia di Novacella wine is produced from 100% Lagrein di Abbazia di NovacellaLagrein grapes grown in the Bolzano area. The vineyards are rooted in alluvial porphyritic loamy-sandy soils, at an altitude of about 260 meters above sea level. During vinification, alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks with a 15-day maceration of the must on the skins. The aging process occurred in 60-hectoliter oak barrels for a period of 6 months.

The Lagrein di Abbazia di Novacella wine presents itself with a ruby red color and purple reflections. On the nose, it reveals scents of cherry and berries along with floral hints of violet and subtle notes of cocoa and oriental spices. The palate is soft and well-balanced, with integrated tannins and a pleasantly fruity finish. It pairs well with cured meats, semi-matured cheeses, as well as flavorful meat-based first and second courses featuring red meats or game.
