The Greco di Tufo di Feudi di San Gregorio is born in an ancient and beautiful region, Irpinia, where vineyards, woods, olive trees, fruit trees, and aromatic herbs coexist in harmony. The Greco vineyards of the Capaldo family are located in the municipality of Tufo, a town named after the volcanic rock of the same name where in 1866 the existence of sulfur mines was discovered, and their processing characterized the economy until the post-World War II period. The grapes are strictly handpicked and vinified in steel, where the wine then rests for about 4 months on its own yeasts before bottling.
The Greco from Feudi di San Gregorio presents itself in the glass with a deep straw yellow color; on the nose, it is rich in aromatic herbs, fruit, mineral undertones, and fresh almond. In the mouth, it has a certain structure, lovely acidity, and a savory and rewarding sip. If you intend to fully enjoy it, pair it with buffalo mozzarella, with still-warm tomatoes from the garden, good olive oil, and a few basil leaves. Summer in your mouth.
