Corpo medioTramin's Gewürztraminer Nussbaumer was born from 100% Gewürztraminer grapes grown in the territory of Termeno (BZ), at an altitude between 350 and 550 metres above sea level. The vineyards of origin are situated on soils composed of calcareous gravel and clay with a substrate of porphyry rock. After the harvest by hand, the grapes were subjected to light pressing followed by a short maceration on the skins aimed at extracting substances and colour. After the soft pressing phase, a slow alcoholic fermentation was started in stainless steel at a constant temperature of 18° C. The refinement took place in contact with the yeasts in small steel containers for 11 months. Before being marketed, Gewürztraminer Alto Adige DOC Nussbaumer 2018 rested for a further 3 months in the bottle.
Gewürztraminer Alto Adige DOC Nussbaumer 2018 by Tramin is presented in the glass with a straw yellow colour with golden reflections. On the nose, it expresses intense aromas of mango, lychee and ripe yellow pulp fruit combined with floral hints of rose and warm notes of oriental spices. Full-bodied and aromatic, the taste reveals a delicate freshness and a strong minerality that persists in the long finish. Excellent as an aperitif, it goes well with aged soft cheeses as well as vegetarian dishes and seafood recipes based on white fish, molluscs and crustaceans. Also to be tried paired with white meats.
