Colterenzio 's 2018 Gewürztraminer is part of that line of 'classic' wines that this cooperative winery vinifies from traditional varieties in purity. The barrier of the Alps, 18,000 hours of sunshine per year, the winds from Lake Garda, the warmth of the daytime hours and the coolness of the night-time hours create the ideal conditions for the development of this and other aromatic and semi-aromatic grape varieties. The Gewürztraminer vineyards are at an altitude between 400 and 460 metres above sea level, on moraine deposits mixed with clay and porphyritic gravel. After several hours of cold maceration and soft pressing, fermentation takes place in stainless steel at about 18°C. The wine is left on the fine lees until bottling.

The Gewürztraminer 2018 from Colterenzio presents itself in the glass with a beautiful golden yellow colour; the nose is very typical with notes of old roses, lychee, cloves and nutmeg. In the mouth it has great body, smoothness, aromaticity and length. To drink throughout a meal, very good with excellent smoked king salmon, dressed with a light citronette.
