The Etna Bianco San Lorenzo di Girolamo Russo was obtained from 90% Carricante and 10% Catarratto and Grecanico grapes from old vines 80 years old located among the vines of the homonymous cru. The soils here are of volcanic sandy origin and rich in minerals. We are on the north slope of Mount Etna at an altitude of about 750 meters above sea level. The harvest took place by hand in the first half of October. In the cellar, the winemaking process included a short maceration of the must on the skins for 4 hours. The aging was for 6 months in barrels and tonneaux of second and third passage, and for an additional 6 months in the bottle.

The Etna Bianco San Lorenzo di Girolamo Russo presents a straw yellow color with bright reflections. On the nose, it displays aromas of yellow flesh fruit followed by notes of white flowers and aromatic herbs, with hints of flint and citrus. On the palate, it offers freshness and a deep, layered minerality that lingers into a long finish of toasted hazelnuts. It pairs well with cheeses, vegetarian dishes, as well as with tasty seafood preparations like the timeless spaghetti with clams.
