I vigneti d’origine from Tenuta delle Terre Nere is derived from 70% Carricante, 20% Catarratto, 5% Grecanico, and 5% Minnella grapes grown on the northern slope of Mount Etna, between the municipalities of Randazzo and Castiglione di Sicilia, in the province of Catania. The original vineyards, ranging in age from 5 to 15 years, are located on volcanic soil at an altitude between 600 and 900 meters above sea level. The winemaking process took place in white, meaning without skin contact, with alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 13-15°C. The wine was aged for a few months always in stainless steel.
