Hernicus 2025 is made from 100% Cesanese di Affile and expresses Cesanese del Piglio Superiore DOCG with a strong focus on varietal identity. Maturation takes place mainly in cement; a brief passage in wood for selected lots adds light spicy and balsamic nuances without masking the character of Cesanese.

Red fruit, violet and Lazio character

The aromatic profile brings together red fruit, sour cherry, woodland notes, black pepper, tobacco and violet, with a subtle herbal touch. The palate is full and savoury, with firm yet mature tannins and a long, persistent finish.

At the table

Serve at 16-18 °C. It pairs well with pasta in meat ragù, red meats and aged cheeses.
