Corpo medioThe Cannonau Èrema di SiddùraCannonau Èrema from Siddùra winery is the young red of the company, the name in fact means "seedling" in ancient Etruscan language. The vineyards grow between 200 and 300 meters above sea level, on sandy and limestone soils; in general, Siddùra's vineyards are a mixture of granite, sand, and clay. They are loose, often arid soils, ideal for viticulture. In these conditions, the vine sinks its roots deep in search of water and does not waste energy in producing excess vegetation, but retains and concentrates it for the fruit. The good temperature variations, the ventilated climate, and the excellent exposure of the gentle slopes then allow the natural healthiness of the plants. The grapes are harvested manually in small baskets, de-stemmed and left to macerate and ferment for 10-15 days in thermo-conditioned steel tanks. The refinement is then always carried out in steel, on its own yeasts.
The Cannonau Èrema di SiddùraCannonau Èrema from Siddùra winery is bright ruby with violet reflections. The aromatic profile consists of blueberry, blackberry, cherry jam, Mediterranean scrub, and rocky mineral hints. The taste is full-bodied, soft, with citrus acidity and non-invasive tannins; very inviting to drink, it is excellent when served slightly chilled, with the traditional Zuppa Gallurese.
