Fine WineIn the process of producing Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Cerretalto, Sangiovese Grosso grapes (locally called "Brunello") are used. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature for a period of 20-25 days, followed by a post-fermentative maceration of 10-15 days. Maturation takes place in 500 liter French oak barrels for 42 months, followed by bottle ageing for a minimum of 8 months. The winemaking takes place in the Montalcino area of Tuscany, located in the province of Siena. The vineyards are located on clay and calcareous soils with mainly south and southwest exposure.
Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Cerretalto - Casanova Di Neri [Magnum, 1.50 lt] offers a unique taste experience. It presents an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections. The nose is characterized by intense aromas of red fruits, spices, tobacco and leather. The taste is powerful and complex with well-integrated tannins and a pleasant freshness. The finish is remarkably long and persistent. This vintage promises excellent longevity and will reach its peak over the next 10-15 years. It is recommended to enjoy this wine with red meat, aged cheese and game dishes.
