Corpo robustoBrunello di Montalcino Riserva Soldera Case Basse 2004 is one of the rarest and most sought-after expressions of Sangiovese from Montalcino. Produced at the historic Case Basse estate, founded by Gianfranco Soldera, this wine embodies a rigorous and deeply artisanal vision of Brunello, shaped by absolute respect for the terroir, meticulous grape selection and a winemaking approach reduced to its purest essentials.
The grapes come from the estate vineyards in Montalcino, where Sangiovese is cultivated with low yields and great attention to the perfect ripening of the fruit. The winemaking follows a traditional path, with natural fermentations and long ageing in large Slavonian oak casks. The 2004 vintage, regarded as one of the most important years for the area, gave birth to a wine of remarkable depth, combining energy, elegance and extraordinary ageing potential.
Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Soldera Case Basse 2004 shows an evolved ruby-red colour in the glass, enriched by garnet reflections that reveal its long maturation. The nose is complex and layered, with notes of ripe cherry, red fruit in liqueur, tobacco, sweet spices, medicinal herbs and delicate balsamic nuances.
On the palate, it is broad, deep and harmonious, supported by fine tannins, still-vibrant freshness and a finish of remarkable elegance. This is a wine for contemplation and refined cuisine, ideal with red meats, game, important roasts, aged cheeses and dishes based on mushrooms or truffle. Bottle size: 0.75 litres.
