The Bolgheri Superiore Le Gonnare di Fabio Motta is produced from 85% Merlot and 15% Syrah grapes. The selected vineyards, facing West and trained using spur cordon, are rooted in clay-sandy soils rich in skeleton, at an altitude of 50 meters above sea level. After the harvest, carried out in the first half of September, the grape bunches were destemmed and crushed to extract the must. Alcoholic fermentation was activated by natural yeasts and followed by malolactic fermentation in barriques, one-third of which were new. Here, the wine aged for 18 months and then for 12 months in the bottle.

The Bolgheri Superiore Le Gonnare di Fabio Motta presents itself with an intense ruby red color. On the nose, it offers aromas of ripe red fruits, violets, and Mediterranean herbs combining with hints of coffee powder, tobacco, and dark spices. The palate is full-bodied and balanced, supported by soft tannins and a long fruity and spicy finish. It pairs well with cheeses and rich earthy dishes based on red meats or game, especially those with a tomato base.
