The Bolgheri Antillo di Guado al Melo is derived from Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot grapes grown along the course of the Fossa di Bolgheri stream (Livorno), using integrated and sustainable viticulture methods. The vineyards from which it originates are located on sandy and clay-sandy soils of alluvial matrix, with a decent presence of pebbles. Vinification took place separately for each selected vineyard plot. Aging occurred for 9 months in not new wood in contact with the fine lees, plus an additional 3-4 months in the bottle.

BOLGHERI ANTILLO GUADO AL MELO: THE TASTING

The Antillo Bolgheri from Guado al Melo presents itself with an intense ruby red color. On the nose, aromas of Morello cherry and ripe berries stand out, combined with hints of Mediterranean herbs, black pepper, and dark spices. The palate is enveloping and elegant, supported by smooth tannins and a long fruity and spicy finish. It pairs well with aged cheeses as well as rich land-based dishes featuring red meats or game.
