Bolgheri Rosso di Le Macchiole: THE WINE

The PLACEHOLDER_WINE comes from Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah grapes grown in the prestigious territory of Bolgheri, in the province of Livorno. The harvest took place between the third week of August and the middle of September. The vinification process included an alcoholic fermentation phase with maceration of the must on the skins in stainless steel tanks lasting for 15 days. Aging took place 80% in oak barrels of 2nd, 3rd, 4th passage, and 20% in concrete.

BOLGHERI ROSSO LE MACCHIOLE: TASTING NOTES

The PLACEHOLDER_WINE presents itself to the eye with an intense ruby red color with purple reflections. On the nose, it expresses aromas of cherry and ripe wild berries that combine with hints of potpourri and notes of licorice and dark oriental spices. Shades of balsamic herbs complement the olfactory profile. The palate is deep and balanced, enhanced by smooth tannins and a long fruity and spicy finish. It pairs well with aged cheeses as well as tasty dishes of red meats or game.
