Aroma floreale
Corpo medioFurore Bianco by Marisa Cuomo comes from vines clinging stubbornly to the dolomitic-limestone rock. The terraces face south and overlook the sea, between 200 and 550 metres above sea level, raised as more convenient according to the microstrip of land they occupy, therefore sometimes pergola, sometimes radial, or espalier. We are in Furore, "the town that does not exist": its inhabited area is scattered on the sides of the mountain that drops steeply into the waves; here we are talking about heroic viticulture. The blend of this white is composed of 60% Falanghina and 40% Biancolella, both traditional grapes from Campania. The grapes, painstakingly harvested by hand, after destemming and crushing are subjected to soft pressing. The free-run must, after cold static clarification and inoculation of selected yeasts, ferments at a temperature of about 15° C for 20-30 days; the wine then ages 4 months in stainless steel vats.
Furore Bianco by Marisa Cuomo has a crystalline straw yellow colour. The nose has elegant notes of Mediterranean scrub, especially wild fennel and thyme, melon, bergamot, orange blossom, acacia and jasmine, all in a comforting brackish embrace. The mouth is fresh, rich and soft, with a savoury vigour and an elongation on the notes of macerated flowers. Excellent with linguine with clams.
