A vintage allowed to speak for itself, without a final addition of sugar: that is the idea behind Berlucchi Vintage Nature Terroir 2020. This vintage Franciacorta brings together estate-grown fruit and exceptionally patient maturation to create a sparkling wine with freshness, depth and a distinctly savoury finish. The gift-boxed edition offers a refined presentation of the wine.

A blend shaped by its vineyards

The cuvée combines 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir from the estate’s Rovere, San Carlo and Ragnoli vineyards, planted at approximately 10,000 vines per hectare. These sites belong to the morainic landscape of Franciacorta, south of Lake Iseo. The name “Terroir” reflects the connection between these vineyards, their soils and the character of the 2020 harvest.

Zero dosage, five years on the lees

The grapes undergo gentle, gradual pressing, followed by alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel. Selected parcels mature for six months in oak barriques and tonneaux, in contact with the lees. The blend contains exclusively wines from the 2020 harvest. After secondary fermentation in bottle, it spends at least five years on the lees and another six months resting after disgorgement. The final dosage is 0 g/L: zero dosage.

Fine bubbles and a savoury finish

In the glass, it shows an intense straw-yellow colour with faint golden highlights and a fine, lasting mousse. Aromas evoke yellow-fleshed fruit, citrus, melon, apricot and brioche. The palate combines a well-defined structure with balanced acidity, persistent freshness and a pronounced savoury character.

Serving and food pairing

A compelling partner for filled pasta, rich first courses, fish stews, poultry and mature cheeses. Serve at 10–12°C. Supplied as one 750 ml bottle with presentation box, suitable for celebrations or a carefully chosen gift.
