The Barbera d'Asti Superiore La Luna e i Falò di Vite Colte has been obtained from 100% Barbera grapes selected from 60 vineyards located in the prestigious territory of Monferrato between the provinces of Asti and Alessandria. The vinification process included a 10-day maceration on the skins at a controlled temperature of 28-30°C. The aging took place for 12 months in barriques. This Barbera, named after a famous novel by Cesare Pavese, is one of the flagship wines of the Vite Colte winery, being the result of a careful blend able to express the unique facets of an extraordinary wine region.

The Barbera d'Asti Superiore La Luna e i Falò di Vite Colte presents itself with a ruby red color with purple reflections. On the nose, aromas of cherry and wild berries intertwine with hints of violet and red flowers and subtle notes of vanilla and dark spices. The taste is intense and robust, supported by smooth tannins and an elegant fresh-savoury trail that lingers in the finish. It pairs well with cured meats, semi-mature and mature cheeses, as well as with first and second courses of red meat-based dishes.
