The Barbera d'Alba di Cascina Botal is a 100% Barbera red wine. The red vinification took place in stainless steel: among its phases, the alcoholic fermentation with maceration of the must on the skins and the malolactic fermentation which smoothed out the aromatic and structural edges of the wine. The refinement lasted for several months in barrels. Barbera is the most widespread red berry grape variety in Piedmont, particularly common in the areas of Alba and Asti.

BARBERA D'ALBA CASCINA BOTAL: TASTING

The Barbera d'Alba di Cascina Botal appears in the glass with a ruby red color and purple reflections. On the nose, it offers scents of cherry and woodland fruits combined with hints of rose petals and violet, and spicy notes of black pepper and vanilla. The taste is soft and pleasant, supported by smooth tannins and a vibrant freshness that lingers in the finish. It pairs well with semi-mature cheeses as well as tasty dishes based on red meats and/or tomatoes.
