Barbaresco di Gaja 2017 is the flagship of Angelo Gaja's production and takes its name from the prestigious denomination that belongs to the municipality of Barbaresco (CN), in the heart of the Langhe. The 100% Nebbiolo grapes come from vineyards located at an altitude between 250 and 330 metres above sea level, with a very low yield of around 40 hl per hectare. We are faced with legendary wine, an authentic champion of longevity whose ageing required a long passage in wood, of which 6 months in barrique and 18 months in large oak barrels.

BARBARESCO GAJA: TASTING

Barbaresco Gaja enchants in its intense ruby red colour with garnet reflections. Wide, harmonious and extraordinarily complex, it seduces with its aromas of violet, ripe berries intertwined with persuasive hints of sweet and dark spices, liquorice, cloves, cinnamon and vanilla. The sip is powerful and at the same time velvety, dense and elegant. The finish is infinite and memorable.
