Amarone della Valpolicella Riserva Classico DOCG 2015 – Quintarelli

A highly prestigious red wine by Giuseppe Quintarelli, produced in Veneto, in the Valpolicella Classica area. The vintage is 2015, and the wine is made from Corvina (55%), Corvinone (30%), and Rondinella (15%), with an alcohol content of 16.5% ABV.

Production follows the estate’s traditional method: careful grape selection, drying in wooden boxes or on rush mats, pressing at the end of January, around 20 days of maceration, 45 days of fermentation, and a very long maturation of 7 years in Slavonian oak casks. The Riserva version is made only in vintages considered truly exceptional.

In the glass, it shows a deep garnet red color. On the nose, it is broad and complex, with notes of ripe red fruit, cherry, plum, sweet spices, tobacco, and balsamic hints. On the palate, it is warm, full, and enveloping, with silky tannins and a very persistent finish. Ideal pairings include red meats, game, aged cheeses, and truffle-based dishes. Recommended serving temperature: 18–20 °C.
