Corpo medioThe Aglianico Corleto di San Salvatore 1988 is produced from the vineyards of this interesting company with a mixed vocation, whose nearly 100 hectares are dedicated to vineyards, olive groves, orchards, crops, woods, and pastures for 450 water buffalo. We are in the Cilento National Park, in an area encompassed and distributed between Stio, Paestum, and Giungano. The vineyards from which Corleto originates are located in the area of Cannito in the municipality of Capaccio Paestum, between 150 and 210 meters above sea level on clayey limestone soils rich in skeleton, with an average age of 9 years. The grapes are hand-harvested and vinified in steel tanks; the wine then ages in 35-hectoliter French oak barrels.
The Aglianico Corleto di San Salvatore 1988 is bright ruby red. It initially releases intense scents of sour cherries and plums, then graphite, cyclamens, cloves, and cinnamon. On the palate, it is balanced between softness and a dense tannic texture, with a long finish of balsamic notes and fruit. Excellent with sausages and broccoli rabe.
