Aglianico del Vulture Il Repertorio di Cantine del Notaio is one of the expressions that Marcella and Gerardo Giuratrabocchetti offer from this grape variety to which they have been strenuously dedicated for over twenty years. They have vineyards in various municipalities in Basilicata, of different sizes, altitudes, soils, and ages: from tiny plots, like the 0.26 hectare Vigna Serra del Granato attached to the winery, in the municipality of Ripacandida, recently planted, to the 12 hectares of Vigna Casano, in the municipality of Maschito, of which small portions date back to the sixties. The grapes for Repertorio are handpicked when fully ripe, in October; they ferment and macerate in steel for about 10 days, after which the wine ages in French oak of various sizes for a year, stored inside natural caves of volcanic tuff.

AGLIANICO IL REPERTORIO CANTINE DEL NOTAIO: THE TASTING

NAME_OF_WINE is dense and impenetrable ruby red; on the nose, it offers generous notes of berries, dried plum, potpourri, hints of licorice and mint, coffee beans, and cocoa beans. On the palate, it is rich, full of fruit, with smooth tannins and a savory finish. Excellent with cavatelli with rabbit ragu and its offal.
