Syrah Keir di Tua Rita: DESCRIPTION

Syrah Keir di Tua Rita is a 100% Syrah red wine made from grapes cultivated in the Metalliferous Hills area, in Upper Maremma. The vineyards are trained using double spurred cordon on distinctly clayey soils, with a medium to high presence of skeleton. The harvest was carried out by hand, in 15 kg crates. The vineyard management approach was inspired by the principles of integrated pest management. The winemaking process took place in amphorae for 6 months, including a long maceration of the must on the skins that enriched the wine in terms of color and structure. The aging occurred for 6 months in French barrels of 3rd-4th passage plus a brief period in bottle.

SYRAH KEIR TUA RITA: TASTING NOTES

Syrah Keir di Tua Rita appears in the glass with an intense ruby red color. On the nose, it opens with aromas of ripe berries followed by floral nuances of rose and violet, and hints of black pepper and dark spices. The taste is smooth and balanced, supported by round tannins with a long and embracing fruity and spicy finish. This wine pairs perfectly with cheeses and succulent dishes based on tomatoes and/or red meats.
