The Spumante Pinot Nero Metodo Classico Nerosé by La Madeleine is made from 100% Pinot Nero grapes grown in the company's vineyards located between Narni and Otricoli, in the province of Terni at an average altitude of 200 metres above sea level. Its characteristic onion skin colour comes from a 12-hour maceration on the skins that took place in steel as well as the entire winemaking process. According to the dictates of the Classic Method, the wine undergoes a refermentation in the bottle with a rest on the yeasts which lasts for at least 18 months. The Nerosé from the La Madeleine winery marks a lively encounter between France and Umbria, harmoniously combining vivacity, character and elegance.
The Spumante Pinot Nero Metodo Classico Nerosé by La Madeleine shines in the glass with a seductive onion skin colour. On the nose, it releases aromas of small berries that combine with fragrant hints of bread crust. The sip is full and creamy, enhanced by a good sapidity and a pleasant fruity taste that lingers in the finish. At the table, it goes well with various types of cold cuts and tasty stewed seafood recipes based on fish and shellfish.
