The Sauvignon di Puiatti was produced from 100% Sauvignon di Puiatti grapes grown in the territory of Romans d'Isonzo (GO), in the Zuccole area. The original vineyards are located on alluvial soils characterized by a gravelly state, covered with reddish clays rich in iron oxides. This interesting Friulian white is the result of three harvests, an early one to capture the freshest and herbaceous nuances, a second one to extract the tropical part of the grape variety, and a late third one to give greater structure and savoriness to the wine. Before being marketed, the Sauvignon di Puiatti has aged for 4 months in steel on fine lees.
The Sauvignon di Puiatti presents itself in the glass with a bright straw yellow color. On the nose, it expresses aromas of tropical yellow fruit intertwined with typical herbaceous notes of sage and tomato leaf. On the palate, it is soft and pleasant, enhanced by a clear balance between freshness and minerality. It pairs well with semi-aged cheeses and vegetarian dishes as well as with tasty sea recipes based on white fish, shellfish, and crustaceans.
