Aroma fruttato
Corpo robustoHebo di Petra comes from 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, and 10% Sangiovese grapes grown in the San Lorenzo area in Suvereto, in the province of Livorno. The vineyards are located on slightly calcareous soils, characterized by sandy-clay texture. After the harvest, carried out with a yield of 80 quintals per hectare, the grapes were transported to the cellar for red vinification. Alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts. Aging occurred for 12 months in second and third passage barriques and in 30 and 50 hectoliters oak casks, plus an additional 6 months in the bottle. The name refers to that of an ancient Etruscan settlement, a tribute to the historical roots of Suvereto.
Hebo di Petra stands out with a ruby red color and bright reflections. On the nose, it expresses aromas of black cherry and wild berries that blend with floral hints of violet and peony and notes of Mediterranean scrub. The taste is characterized by good freshness and salinity, supported by well-integrated tannins and a pleasant finish of fruit and spices. Excellent paired with cheeses and tasty meat-based dishes with red meats.
