The Rosso di Montepulciano Salterio di Trerose is a red wine made from 95% Prugnolo Gentile (a biotype of Sangiovese) and 5% Colorino. The vineyards of origin - with an average age of 10 years - are located in the hamlet of Valiano in Montepulciano, on the border between Montepulciano (SI) and Cortona (AR), on sandy and clay-loamy soils. After red vinification - meaning with the must macerated on the skins - the wine was aged for 3 months in 100-hectolitre French oak vats.
