Aroma fruttato
Corpo medioThe Rosso di Montepulciano Salterio di Trerose is a red wine made from 95% Prugnolo Gentile (a biotype of Sangiovese) and 5% Colorino. The vineyards of origin - with an average age of 10 years - are located in the hamlet of Valiano in Montepulciano, on the border between Montepulciano (SI) and Cortona (AR), on sandy and clay-loamy soils. After red vinification - meaning with the must macerated on the skins - the wine was aged for 3 months in 100-hectolitre French oak vats.
The Rosso di Montepulciano Salterio di Trerose presents itself as a ruby red with brilliant reflections. On the nose, it reveals scents of cherry and red fruits intertwined with graceful hints of violet and notes of dark spices. The palate entry is fresh and soft. It captivates with its well-polished tannic structure and a pleasingly fruity taste that lingers in the finish. Versatile in character, it pairs perfectly with flavorful first and second courses of red meat-based dishes.
