The Ribolla Gialla di Puiatti from Puiatti is obtained from 100% Ribolla Gialla di Puiatti grapes grown in the Romans d'Isonzo (GO) area, in the Zuccole locality. The harvest was carried out manually at the end of September. The vinification process took place at a constant temperature of 12°C in the "in bianco" mode, therefore without maceration in contact with the skins and without resorting to malolactic fermentation, which is intended to soften the structure and aromatic edges of the wine. Before being marketed, the 2018 Ribolla Gialla di Puiatti Venezia Giulia IGT Lus was aged for several months in stainless steel and for a short period in the bottle.
The Ribolla Gialla di Puiatti by Puiatti appears in a clear straw yellow color, reminiscent of the wine's name, Lus, which in Friulian dialect means light. On the nose, it expresses fragrant aromas of acacia and white flowers that blend with distinct notes of flint. On the palate, it is balanced, fresh, pleasantly mineral. Excellent as an aperitif, it pairs well with fresh and semi-matured cheeses, vegetarian dishes, and seafood recipes based on white fish, shellfish, and crustaceans.
