The Puligny Montrachet Premier Cru Le Clavoillon by Domaine Leflaive is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes cultivated in the eponymous cru located in the village of Puligny-Montrachet, one of the most esteemed areas for Burgundy wine production. The uniqueness of the terroir is complemented by exceptional attention to the ecosystem, as evidenced by the commitment to biodynamic principles, working in harmony with nature, the seasons, and lunar cycles. After manual harvesting, the grapes are gently and thoroughly pressed to obtain the must. The alcoholic fermentation took place in oak barrels, 22% of which were new. Before bottling, the wine rested for 12 months in barrels and an additional 6 months in tanks.

The Puligny Montrachet Premier Cru Le Clavoillon by Domaine Leflaive shines in the glass with a wonderful straw-yellow color with golden reflections. On the nose, it opens with aromas of peach, ripe yellow fruit, hints of toasted hazelnuts and citrus, and warm notes of beeswax, brioche, and sweet spices. On the palate, it is intense, smooth, and luxurious, highlighted by an engaging minerality that lingers in the long, woody, and spicy finish. It pairs pleasantly with rich seafood dishes and is also excellent with white meats.
