Pinot Nero Case Via di Fontodi is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes. The vineyard of origin, called Case Via, is exposed to the West and trained with guyot. During the red wine vinification, the alcoholic fermentation spontaneously started thanks to indigenous yeasts, taking place in Alliers truncated cone tanks for 2 weeks. During the maceration of the must on the skins, manual punch-downs were performed. The aging took place for 12 months in Troncais barriques.

Pinot Nero Case Via di Fontodi presents itself in the glass with a ruby red color and bright reflections. On the nose, it releases aromas of plum, currant, and ripe berries, along with hints of violet and aromatic herbs, together with notes of wet earth, tobacco, and dark spices. The palate is elegant and silky, enhanced by a gentle salinity that lingers into a long spiced finish. It pairs well with aged cheeses as well as flavorful dishes of red meats or game.
