The Bolgheri Rosso di Tenuta Meraviglia wine is obtained from 100% Cabernet Franc grapes grown in volcanic soils characterized by the presence of San Vicenzo rhyolites. The reference vineyards are exposed to the Southwest at an altitude of about 150 meters above sea level. The red winemaking process, including the must maceration on the skins, took place in rough concrete truncated-cone vats. The alcoholic fermentation of the must occurred spontaneously at a maximum temperature of 28°C, for a period of 13 days. The aging process involved 12 months in large untoasted French oak barrels, followed by an additional 3 months in the bottle.

BOLGHERI ROSSO TENUTA MERAVIGLIA: TASTING

The Bolgheri Rosso di Tenuta Meraviglia is ruby red in color with purple reflections. On the nose, it offers aromas of cherry, raspberry, and small dark berries that blend with hints of undergrowth, coffee powder, tobacco, and licorice. The taste is warm and intense, supported by soft tannins and a long fruity and spicy finish. It pairs well with cheeses and flavorful meat dishes, especially those based on red meats or game.
