The Pinot Nero di Abbazia di Novacella was produced from 100% Pinot Nero di Abbazia di NovacellaPinot Nero grapes from the area of Cornaiano, a fraction of Appiano sulla Strada del Vino (BZ). The vineyards here are located on soils characterized by permeable morainic deposits on porphyric base, at an altitude between 350 and 420 meters above sea level. During the red winemaking process, alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks with the must macerating with the skins for 15 days. Aging then occurred for 6 months in 30-hectoliter oak barrels.

The Pinot Nero di Abbazia di Novacella wine presents itself with an intense ruby red color. On the nose, it expresses aromas of plum and small red fruits that meet hints of undergrowth, as well as notes of cocoa and dark spices. The palate is soft and elegant, supported by smooth tannins and a pleasant spicy finish. It pairs excellently with tasty dishes made of red meats or game meats.
