Aroma fruttato
Corpo medioThe Schiopetto Fireman's Pinot Grigio is produced starting from 2014; produced from company vineyards under the age of 20, it wants to be the young and fragrant declination of the classic wine produced by Mario Schiopetto already at the end of the sixties. This vine of French origins produces small clusters, with round red-grey berries and is born, like Pinot Bianco, from a bud mutation of Pinot Noir. The grapes are harvested by hand between the end of August and the beginning of September and vinified at low temperatures to enhance the delicate aromas, then the wine is aged for 5 months in steel and another 2 in the bottle. Osteria ai Pompieri was the historic family restaurant thanks to which Mario fell in love with wine and decided to dedicate himself body and soul to it.
The Schiopetto Fireman's Pinot Grigio is straw yellow with golden reflections. The nose is captivating with notes of exotic fruit and wild rose, then of medicinal herbs, yellow flowers and mineral hints, and the sip is soft and savoury. Very good with zucchini carbonara, as with pasta and beans.
