Pelago 2022 combines 50% Montepulciano, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot in one of Umani Ronchi's most distinctive Marche reds. Montepulciano maintains the wine's connection with the Conero area, while the Bordeaux varieties add complexity, depth and aromatic breadth.

Fourteen months in barriques

After fermentation in stainless steel and malolactic fermentation, the wine matures for 14 months in barriques followed by around 12 months in bottle. The profile is intense and structured, with forest berries, spice, coffee, black pepper, liquorice, tobacco and vanilla, supported by mature tannins and a long finish.

At the table

Serve at 16-18 °C. It pairs well with red meats and mature cheeses. The 2022 vintage received the WineHunter Gold award.
