The Negroamaro Norie di Vigneti Reale is inspired by the well that supplied water to the company's lands, located inside the Norie estate (the "nories" in dialect were the old stone millstones for the production of oil). The Reale agricultural company is located in the municipality of Cellino San Marco, between the provinces of Brindisi and Lecce. It extends over a flat area of 180 hectares, of which about 100 are cultivated with vineyards and the rest with olive groves. The Ionian Sea is 20 km to the west, the Adriatic Sea is 10 km to the east, therefore the temperature range is guaranteed by the cool sea winds; the company's lands are sandy-loamy with a reddish color and low limestone content. The harvest is done by hand, with careful selection of the bunches, and the winemaking is carried out in red with 8-10 days of maceration and constant temperature control; just like the winemaking, the short aging also takes place in steel.
The Negroamaro del Salento Norie by Vigneti Reale has a bright ruby color. On the nose, it is enchanting with notes of wild blackberry, cherry, and blueberry, hints of dog rose and delicate Mediterranean balsams. The palate has elegant tannins, plenty of fruit, and a certain length. Perfect with sautéed duck breast.
