Aroma fruttato
Corpo medioThe Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Anfora di Cirelli was born from 100% Montepulciano grapes grown in the splendid territory of Atri, in the province of Teramo. After harvesting, the bunches are de-stemmed and the berries are softly pressed. The crushed grapes were then racked into an amphora where alcoholic fermentation began using indigenous yeasts. The maceration on the skins did not exceed 12 days, with the skins which, once separated from the vinous mass, were further pressed. The malolactic fermentation took place entirely in amphora as well as the refinement which lasted for 12 months
Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC Anfora di Cirelli is presented in the glass with an intense ruby red colour with purple reflections. On the nose, it releases enveloping aromas of cherry and wild berries that combine with hints of Mediterranean herbs and warm notes of dark spices. Full-bodied, when tasted it reveals a full taste and a smooth tannic texture with a pleasant fresh-savoury trail that lasts in the long finish. At the table, it goes well with cured meats and aged cheeses as well as with succulent first and second courses based on red meats and game.
