Redigaffi by Tua Rita is a great Italian red wine produced in Val di Cornia from 100% Merlot grapes, hand-harvested in 15 kg crates with a meticulous selection of the bunches. The vineyards grow on strongly clayey soils and are marked by a very high planting density of around 8,500 vines per hectare. Vineyard management follows the principles of integrated pest management, with particular attention to vine balance and grape quality. After harvesting, the grapes underwent vinification with a maceration on the skins lasting around 3 weeks. Aging took place for 18-20 months in new barriques, followed by a further 4-6 months of bottle refinement before release.

REDIGAFFI TUA RITA: THE TASTING

Redigaffi by Tua Rita is a deep, powerful and highly elegant wine. On the nose, it reveals a complex profile, with hints of dried flowers, red fruit jam, saline and mineral notes, touches of wood, smoky nuances, vanilla, cinnamon, tobacco and coffee. The finish also brings out echoes of mint and liquorice. On the palate, it is fresh, intensely savory and sinuous, supported by silky tannins and a round body, with a long and memorable persistence. Best served at a temperature between 16 °C and 20 °C, it pairs perfectly with braised meats, important red meat dishes and fillet steak with green peppercorn sauce.
