Illivio di Livio Felluga is a blend predominantly made of Pinot Bianco, with Chardonnay and Picolit, created in 1998 by Livio Felluga's children as a dedication for his eighty-fifth birthday: illivio expresses the personality of the "Patriarch," combining strength and elegance. The harvest takes place in the second decade of September, strictly by hand, in small crates. The grapes are delicately destemmed and left to macerate for a short period, then gently pressed and the resulting must clarified through decantation; the must then ferments at a controlled temperature in small French oak barrels, where it matures on the lees for ten months. Once in the bottle, it further refines for a variable time in the cellar.
ILLIVIO LIVIO FELLUGA: TASTING
Illivio di Livio Felluga appears straw yellow with golden reflections. On the nose, it offers intense sensations of peanut butter, sage, bay leaf, honey, linden and acacia flowers, candied citrus, and iodine notes. The taste impact is velvety and at the same time vertical, broad, savory, sweet, and fresh. A complex and long-lived wine, it is mandatory to taste it first alone, then pair it with a risotto with zucchini, wild herbs, and anchovies.Product specifications
