Aroma fruttato
Corpo robustoThe Gravello di Librandi is born from 60% Gaglioppo and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown in the countryside of the municipality of Strongoli, in the province of Crotone. The vineyard of origin sits on clayey and calcareous soils. The harvest was carried out in the first decade of October, with a yield of about 65 quintals per hectare. The red vinification included a phase of alcoholic fermentation with maceration of the must in contact with the skins for 15 days. The refinement took place for 12 months in Alliers oak barrels and for a further 6 months in the bottle.
The Gravello di Librandi presents itself to the eye with an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections. To the nose, it releases scents of ripe red fruits that meet slight hints of undergrowth and enveloping notes of cocoa and dark spices. The taste is intense and full-bodied, enhanced by smooth tannins and a long fruity and spicy finish. On the table, it pairs excellently with succulent earthy dishes based on red meats or game.
