Vigna Valferana 2022 is made from 100% Nebbiolo grown in the Valferana cru in Gattinara, a west-facing vineyard between 300 and 350 metres above sea level. Ancient volcanic soils and slightly cooler conditions than Molsino give the wine a more linear, precise and taut profile with a marked mineral identity.

The 2022 vintage was warm and dry, yet Valferana retained freshness and definition. Nervi's single-vineyard wines undergo extended maturation in large oak casks, following a traditional approach that supports Nebbiolo without weighing down its character.

Crushed red berries, blood orange, rose, violet, dried flowers, mint, alpine herbs and spice emerge in the glass. The palate is layered yet rigorous, with present tannins, lively acidity and a clean, mineral, persistent finish.
