It is made from vines over 100 years old, officially recorded in 1950 but already existing before then, grown on mixed marl soils.
The grapes are harvested by hand and gently pressed. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel with native yeasts, followed by 12 months of ageing in sustainable Sirio amphorae and a further 4-6 months in glass.
The name Freeulano is more than a play on words: it expresses an identity in motion. The transition from Tocai to Friulano is reflected in the label through a restless face, drawn with essential lines and marked by a yellow eye that immediately catches the viewer’s attention. It conveys the tension between the weight of the past and the desire to move forward freely.
In the glass, it shows a yellow colour with golden reflections. The nose is precise, with notes of Lebanon cedar, tobacco, acacia blossom and linden flowers. On the palate, it reveals power, elegance, minerality and savoury depth from the very first sip.
A versatile and gastronomic wine, it pairs well with white meats, fish and shellfish. It is also an excellent match for delicate cured meats and hard cheeses, from younger styles to more mature selections.
