Firriato's Etna Bianco Le Sabbie dell 'Etna derives from a blend of Carricante and Catarratto grapes, typical of the Etna area. The vineyards of origin are located on the Cavanera Etnea estate in the municipality of Castiglione di Sicilia (CT): the soils are of a sandy loam of volcanic nature, highly draining, and are located at an altitude of 720 metres above sea level. The harvest was done by hand and was followed by soft pressing and fermentation at a controlled temperature. The refinement takes place for 3 months on noble lees in stainless steel tanks, followed by a further 2 months in the bottle.

Firriato's Sabbie dell'Etna Bianco shines in a straw yellow colour with greenish reflections in the glass. On the nose, it reveals fragrant hints of mimosa, broom and fruit and white pear which are combined with notes of tropical yellow fruit. The sip is fresh and full, enriched by a good structure and an intriguing mineral trail that persists in the long finish. At the table, it goes well with fresh cheeses, vegetarian dishes and seafood recipes.
