Corpo medioThe Dolcetto Rossana di Ceretto is produced at Tenuta Monsordo Bernardina, the ancient farmhouse on the outskirts of Alba, now for years the epicenter of the Ceretto family's work, and since 2009 made even more recognizable with the installation of Acino by the Piedmontese architects Luca and Marina Deabate, a bubble suspended over the landscape of Langa. The more than 30 hectares of vineyards surrounding the farm host traditional and international varieties, all cultivated according to strong principles of environmental sustainability. Rossana is a plot of about 8 hectares historically considered among the best for growing Dolcetto in the Alba area; the grapes are processed exclusively in steel to not affect the typical spontaneous varietal expression of the grape, paying attention to maceration times to avoid excessive tannin extractions, of which this variety is abundant.
The Dolcetto d'Alba Rossana by Ceretto has a beautiful ruby color with evident purple reflections. On the nose it is markedly vinous, an explosion of red and black fruits, rose petals, and hints of underbrush; on the palate it is straightforward, lively and fresh, with perfect drinkability making it the ideal companion for snacks and lunches, perhaps in the company of Piedmontese salami, or the traditional plin in roast sauce.
